Greetings, KoGaMians!
Today, we’re very happy to announce a long-awaited feature that’s been in the works for some time: A Customizable Gun! This feature is currently in Early Access for Elite users, but it’ll become available to everyone at a later date, so please stay tuned!
DISCLAIMER: This update only concerns simple projectile weapons, not rocket launchers or the throwing weapons.
Custom Gun
That’s right - You can finally create your own firearms to use in your games! In the Pickups tab in the Inventory, you’ll now find a brand-new pickup called Custom Gun on the first page. Just click on it to place it out…
… Then, just like other editable Models, right-click it and select Edit Model to get started.
Maybe you want to make a cool plasma weapon, or maybe you prefer something silly like a bunny-shaped weapon - The sky’s the limit, so just let your imagination run wild!
And that’s not all - Like the Melee Weapons, you can also change the gun’s Settings! Right-click the gun, select Settings and make whichever changes you want.
You can rename the gun (Which will also show up in the Kill message when a Player is killed by the gun), adjust its cooldown time, how fast you move when you have it equipped, change its sound effects, choose between first-person and third-person camera and much, much more!
Furthermore, by clicking on Projectile Settings, you can also make changes to the weapon’s Projectiles, such as their color, range and speed!
And last, but certainly not least: You might’ve noticed that there’s a new Menu option called Edit Muzzle.
By clicking on this option, you can actually change where the Projectiles will spawn from, and even at which angle! So, if you don’t want the Projectiles to spawn from the gun’s barrel, you have the option to move it.
New Template
With this update, we’re also including a new game template!
This template is a shooter map with several customizable guns placed out. Right now, only Elite users will be able to edit these guns, but like with the standard Custom Gun, they'll also be editable by everyone at a later date!
